Recently I've noticed that people are looking for puppies and going to breeders for dogs - many times without knowing these are breeders! Our hearts break for these little Mommy dogs who are doing all the work! We got a dog named Pinky who appears to be one of these breeding dogs. We don't know her story because she came to us from a high kill shelter with a time stamp on her. They said she was a stray and she was so incredibly matted they could not tell if she had a 4th leg! More than likely Pinky has spend most of her life producing puppies for a breeder. The day she came in we had a great groomer trim her down so that she could be clean and comfortable. She now dresses in pretty sweaters and has the comfort that all dogs need. Now that she has come to Animal House off the streets - we can give her the happy, comfortable life that she deserves. No more puppies! At Animal House Rescue it is our purpose to care for dogs who are not cared for, to make sure that they are spayed & neutered and to help them have a great life.
