  • Gildan
  • Port & Company

Of course, these aren’t the only brands we can customize. Good Ink works with all of the major apparel brands and suppliers. If you can wear it, we can probably source it. Reach out to us about a brand or style of shirt you’d like to customize and our team will let you know if we can source it for you.

Ways To Customize Your Long-Sleeve Shirts

Good Ink can integrate your design into long-sleeve shirts using printed ink or embroidery. Both customization methods look great. One method may be better than the other depending on your design. Our team can help advise which decoration method to use when you send us your design.

Printed Ink

Printed ink is the most common way to customize long-sleeve shirts. Good Ink primarily uses screen printing for custom ink designs, but we can also use simulated process printing and full-color transfers to customize shirts when the design demands it. Good Ink offers many different ink styles to allow you to personalize your shirts further. We carry plastisol, discharge, and water base ink, but we also offer specialty inks like glow ink and puff ink.

Embroidery

Quality ink can last a long time when proper care is used to clean shirts. However, embroidered designs offer even more longevity, because the design is stitched into the shirt to become a part of it. Embroidered designs will remain flat with the surface of the shirt to seamlessly work your design into the shirt.

Our Apparel Customization Process

Ordering custom apparel should be fun, not stressful. We’ve designed our order process to be simple and stress-free so you know exactly what to expect when you request a quote from Good Ink. Our apparel customization process is so simple that it can be boiled down to seven steps.

  • Apparel Selection: The process starts with apparel selection. We’ll need to know which long-sleeve shirts you’d like us to customize. If there is a specific brand or style you want that we don’t carry, we may be able to source it for you.
  • Design: Once we know which shirts you want to customize, we’ll then need to work on a design. You can send us a design you’ve created, or we can create a design for you at no additional cost.
  • Quote Review: We’ll use your apparel selection, design, and preferred decoration method to create a quote for your order. Good Ink offers quantity discounts, so you can save money with larger orders.
  • Size & Final Design Approval: The last thing we’ll need to know for production is the shirt sizes you’ll need. We’ll confirm sizes and approval on the final design before we send over an invoice.
  • Invoicing: An invoice for your order will be sent over to you. The invoice will need to be paid in full before we can begin production. This is very important if your order is time-sensitive.
  • Production: Once the invoice has been paid in full we’ll begin production of your custom long-sleeve shirts. Production includes a multi-point garment inspection to make sure we deliver quality products.
  • Shipment: The order will be shipped directly to your door upon completion. Standard shipping is always free for customers in the United States. Faster shipping options are always available for an additional charge.

Is There An Order Minimum For Custom Long-Sleeve Shirts?

Yes, Good Ink does have minimum order quantities for custom apparel. The minimum order quantity will vary depending on the complexity of your design and the decoration method used. Our minimum order quantity for long-sleeve shirts starts at 25, but we’ll provide you with a minimum order quantity for your order when you request a quote

Are The Shirts Printed In The US?

Yes, all of our custom shirts are printed at our warehouse in Holland, MI. Printing our long-sleeve shirts here in the United States allows us to offer fast and free domestic shipping to save you money and time on your order.

Can I Put A Logo On The Shirts?

Of course! Custom long-sleeve shirts are great for businesses and you may want to add your business logo to create a branded shirt. We’re more than happy to print or embroider logos onto shirts. You just need to make sure you have the right to use a logo in your design to avoid trademark infringement issues.

What Things Do I Need To Consider For My Design?

Good Ink employs professional designers who work to make sure your design looks great on your apparel. We offer free design work with every order, but we realize you may have an existing design or you may desire to create a design on your own. There are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind as you design.

First, there’s a minimum resolution you’ll need to design with to ensure that your design translates well from the screen to the real world. We recommend designing with a resolution of at least 300 DPI to avoid blurry or pixelated prints.

The second thing you’ll want to consider is design complexity. The more colors you use the more expensive your design will be to print. Intricate designs also don’t tend to translate well to shirts, because they can be harder to read or digest from a distance. Sticking to one or two colors and keeping your design simple will save you money and ensure the design looks great from every angle.
