STEMteachersPHX serves the real-world needs of teachers to stimulate best teaching practices in STEM. We are a professional network hosting teacher-led, affordable programs based on the needs of our local community. Our sessions actively cultivate independent thinking, self-confidence and understanding in STEM subjects among all teachers and students. We started in September 2015 and have held 8 Saturday sessions so far with up to 60 participants in a session.Extra funds will be used to buy supplies for Make & Take sessions and to create a scholarship program for teachers to (help) pay for professional development; from us and other organizations.
