As you may know, I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer- IBC- a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer in 2015, at age 39! After roughly a year-long treatment of chemo, surgery, radiation, and antibody infusions and an incredible amount of love and support from our friends, family, and the New Hope community, I am now looking for new adventures / opportunities / ideas to "pay-it-forward".
Although I have several thoughts on this topic brewing... the first actionable project I'm taking on is to raise $1000 for True North Treks-a national 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower teens and young adults with cancer (and those who care for them) to live longer, healthier, happier and more meaningful lives as fully functioning human beings who actively create and contribute to the world that cancer took from them. They help the people they serve get connected to powerful and unique skills, tools, experiences, and resources that can enable them to reclaim their lives and get back on track.
