Unboxing a fresh order of custom apparel is exciting, but after printing and embroidering a lot of garments over the years, we’ve seen a few “ahh… we wish we’d known that earlier” moments.
The good news is that most of them are easy to avoid with a little upfront insight and we're here to help.
Here are the most common custom apparel regrets we see—and how to skip them entirely:
1. Choosing the cheapest option
We get it, budget plays a huge role in the custom apparel ordering process. But the lowest-cost blank isn’t always the best value. Fabric quality, fit, and feel play a huge role in whether something gets worn once or becomes a favorite. Ask us about a few of our favorites!
2. Overly detailed artwork
Tiny details don’t always translate well to apparel. A small adjustment in size or a reduction in elements can make a big difference—especially when it comes to embroidery. Thankfully we offer free design assistance!
3. Waiting until the last minute to place orders
A lot of the shirts we print are for a specific event, which means that they have to arrive on time! We pride ourselves on never missing a deadline, but placing your order with plenty of time is a huge win. It can also help you save money by avoiding rush fees and expedited shipping charges. Always communicate with us any time you have a deadline to hit and we'll do everything we can to make it happen.
4. Not asking questions
We're here to help! We can assist with fit, fabric details, and recommendations to help make your order a smooth process and ensure that your apparel actually gets worn. Bring on the questions :)
