Three Ways To Customize Hats & Beanies

There are three different methods we can use to apply your custom design to a hat or beanie. All three methods look great and you can’t go wrong with any option. The best method will ultimately come down to cost, design complexity, and your own style preferences. 

  • Embroidery: A timeless decoration method, we can use embroidery to create your design with threads. An embroidered design can be flat with the surface of the hat or we can create a 3D effect that raises your design above the surface of the cap. 
  • Patches: Good Ink offers four different styles of patches. We can apply your design to a hat or beanie using leather patches, woven patches, embroidered patches, or sublimated patches. Sublimated patches offer a mix of print and embroidery to be able to produce complex designs with clear detail.
  • Heat Pressed Vinyl: For foam caps and five-panel hats, we can permanently apply your design with full-color vinyl.

Are There Any Design Limitations I Should Be Aware Of?

You do not need to have a design to place an order with Good Ink. We have an in-house design team that can help you create and finalize a design for your custom hats at no cost. However, if you do have your own design, there are a few requirements you should be aware of to receive the best possible screen-printed hats. 

Designs or logos should be submitted to Good Ink in AI, SVG, EPS, or PDF formats if available. We can work with JPG and PNG provided that your design has a resolution of 300 DPI or higher. Designs lower than 300 DPI will appear blurry or pixelated. We cannot assist you in printing any designs that are unlawful, harassing, obscene, threatening, or defamatory in nature. You must also own the rights to your design or have permission to reproduce the design.

Can I Have A Custom Embroidered Design?

Of course! We offer custom embroidery and patches. Good Ink stocks a large library of thread colors to support logos and artwork in a wide array of colors. We can stitch embroidery flat onto apparel or we can add dimension with 3D embroidery to raise the design above the cap or beanie surface. Our custom patches can be embroidered, woven, leather, or sublimated.

Can I Order Hats With My Logo?

Yes, adding your logo to a hat or beanie is one of our specialties! We can create custom logo hats for your business with high-quality materials that will help you grow your brand and increase brand recognition. Custom logo hats are great for employee uniforms, trade show events, company outings, corporate gifts, and more.

How Long Do Orders Take To Fulfill?

Our standard turnaround time for custom hats and beanies is 2-3 weeks (timelines can vary depending on the decoration method). We’ll provide you with an estimated delivery date once you place an order. If you need your custom apparel faster than 2-3 weeks, we do provide rush printing services at an additional charge.
